After changing the hard drive on my Windows 7 laptop I am unable to recognize my printer and it won't print.

I have a network printer, I am using a laptop and changed my hard drive now I can get it to print.
it seems to not recognize the printer I am using a jet direct 500 from the hp laser jet 5.
all other computers on network print just not the laptop.
I can
print from home w laptop.
I have installed the driver and ip address but cant get it to see the print job
