Address Change in Excel Database to Word Label Doc Merge

My question has to do with changes/updates to data fields in a labels Mail Merge between Excel and Word.  I have an Excel address database that I use each year for my holiday cards.  I have merged it to a Word labels document.  I thought that if I made changes
to the Excel database (i.e., someone has moved and has a new address), that those changes would automatically show up in the Word Labels doc that is associated with that Excel database.  I made a change to the Excel database to test this theory and it did
not work. 
 
Does anyone know why this did not work -- or how I make it work?

If you mean the document that results from finishing the mail merge, that is static - it won't reflect changes in the source data.
If you still have the merge document that contains the merge fields, you can run the mail merge again, and the document generated by this will be up-to-date for this year.

Tweak IE Options

• Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions".
