autocorrect days of the week used to work, but now does not

I have checked my selections in Word Options for Word 2007 > Proofing > Autocorrect options, and there are entries for all days of the week that once I type the first three or four letters it will automatically replace the text with the day of the week.
 i.e.
Satu is set to be replaced with Saturday.
 It used to work, but no longer does.
 I've checked all the setting throughout every tab in this 'AutoCorrect English' dialog and nearly every option is checked.
 I haven't changed anything I can remember.

Any ideas?

Have you made sure that "Replace text as you type" is selected in the AutoCorrect dialog box?
