Back up and Restore System in Windows 7 Home Premium

I have 3 500 GD hard drives plus a fourth 500 GB pocket drive that I use for back ups.  I my 3 500 GB drives have over 500 GB of data and programs.  Does Windows 7 Back Up system condense the files so that the 500 GB Pocket Drive is sufficient or do I
need a larger (2t or more)  drive for the backups?

Well, that would not be possible but you may limit the number of backups and backup only those files that are very important to you.

If your data is very important to you then you would have to go for drives that have larger space like you mentioned.
