Circular Reference Question
I am getting a circular reference error and do not know why. It deals with calculating fuel cost and estimating gallons to fill up and cost.
Here is the formula in column U: =IF(AND(T39>=260,T40<=280),T39/$H$3,"")
I do not know why this produces a circular reference error. This particular formula is in U39.
Columns Q & R: Two columns that hold estimated miles traveled that day. Each row is a day. Not shown in example but is used in formula in Column T
Column S: Running total of mileage traveled. Not used in formula but is used by Column T
Column T: Cells in this column contain the formula =IF(U38>0,Q39+R39,T38+Q39+R39)
Each cell in column T equals the adjacent cell in column S until the formula is triggered by AND = TRUE and indicates
estimated time of needing to fill-up the car. I the formula, I am using a "miles" since last fillup range between 260 and 280.
I will need to tweak the range but you should get the idea.
If the formula is true, the next cell down (Column T) resets
Cell H3: Average MPG that is calculated in another chart. Will use 20 mpg for this example.
